Welcome!

I will be using this blog to keep parents and students up to date with things going on at school.  I would like to be as paper-free as possible.

It would probably be best to sign up for notifications through email or RSS. (RSS is immediate, whereas there is a lag on the email, but not everyone uses RSS...)

The calendar at the top of the page should mirror the homework board in our class.

The Shared Documents link at the bottom of the page contains digital copies of assignments for students who are absent or who have forgotten items at school that are needed for homework.

Please feel free to contact me at any time.

Conferences with Mme. Santoro

Greetings Post-intensive French parents,
Please feel free to book a three-way conference with me regarding your child’s progress in Post-intensive French. I look forward to meeting with you and having your child share the wonderful work they’ve been doing in French during the second term.  If I am already booked during the times that are the most convenient for you, please send me an email if you’d like to plan to meet at another time.

French Cultural Meal

Dear Grade 7 Post- IF parents,
On Friday, March 4 from 11:50 - 12:15, the Grade 7 students and I have planned a French cultural activity during which we will be having a crêpe lunch together. This lunch will consist of crêpes, whipped cream, fruit and other delicious toppings. Rather than bringing a lunch that day, could your son or daughter bring a plate, fork, and knife?
Also, I would like to thank Hannah’s mom, Kim for preparing the crêpes for our cultural experience.
We will be planning two more French cultural activities between now and the end of the school year.  I will keep you posted regarding these activities.
Sincèrement,
Mme Lori Santoro

Lent things...

As a fundraiser for the Community Council, our school is again creating themed Easter baskets for raffle.

The theme suggested and chosen by our class is CANDY.  It shouldn't be too hard to find things that fit under this umbrella...

ALSO...

For the school's "Pool of Love" initiative this year, we are seeking donations of PASTA and PAPER (packaged, white 8.5 x 11).  Some of the paper will be staying in the school to support math programming that has placed an additional stress on our paper resources.

Thanks for your continued support of St. Dominic!
