Field Trip

The grade sevens will be going to Prairieland Park next Thursday, November 20, to see and participate in a drug and alcohol education presentation.  The presentation is put on by various community sponsors including the police, firefighters, the health region, SLGA, and others, and is meant to support and encourage healthy lifestyle choices among youth.

We will be at Prairieland Park until 11:45, so it would be a good idea to pack a lunch on that day.

Health support

We are fortunate to have our school counselor, Mrs. Troesch joining us to support the health curriculum in our class.  We are focusing on the development of social skills through the use if the Second
Step program.  As this is an area in which Mrs. Troesch is knowledgeable, she has offered to work with us.  So far, she has concentrated on working with the girls in the class, and the boys will have their turn soon, hopefully this week.
