When I registered for a blog, I was looking for something simple that would convey the idea "I have a message for you". According to several sources, this is 10-44 in police scanner/ten-code. I thought I had struck gold. I have subsequently learned that ten-code above 10-39 is not standardized, and to some people, this code means "possible mental patient". Depending on the day, either connotation might be appropriate.

Absent next Wednesday?
For any students who will not be at school following the swimming excursion next Wednesday, please bring a self-addressed stamped envelope to school for the mailing of your progress report.
Field Trip
We will be going 10-pin bowling Tuesday, June 26th, at 1:00pm at Fairhaven Bowl. We will be walking (weather permitting) but if the weather is nasty it would be very helpful to have a few parents who could drive us. If you are able to assist, please contact me with your contact information, and I can email/text/phone you if we need you or not.
Thanks in advance.

Grade 8 Farewell snacks
To assist the grade eights with their
farewell activities, the grade seven students have been asked to supply the
snack for the farewell on Tuesday, June 26th. Students are asked to bring squares,
dainties, cut fruit, etc. Our target is 15-20
“mouthfuls” from each student.
Food should be brought to the school servery
by 9:00 AM Tuesday, June 26th, in a state in which it could be
served, preferably on a disposable plate.
Any parents who would be available Tuesday
evening for set up, library decoration, coffee-making, etc. would be essential
to our success and GREATLY APPRECIATED.
If you can help out, please let me know: dgallays@scs.sk.ca or 659-8451.

Math news
Following the Unit 8 test in Math (Thursday, June 14) students will be preparing for a cumulative final (Friday, June 22). They will be working on assignments that are in quiz (multiple choice) format, the same as their final. While they are called "quizzes" they are to be viewed as study guides, and should be used to guide preparations.
The answers are available through the blog under the "Shared documents" link at the bottom of this page.
