When I registered for a blog, I was looking for something simple that would convey the idea "I have a message for you". According to several sources, this is 10-44 in police scanner/ten-code. I thought I had struck gold. I have subsequently learned that ten-code above 10-39 is not standardized, and to some people, this code means "possible mental patient". Depending on the day, either connotation might be appropriate.

Ministry of Education Math Feedback
Parents or guardians interested in sharing their opinions on Saskatchewan's math curriculum are asked to visit the Ministry of Education website and click on the feature titled "Math Feedback". The link is available through the end of March. (I would have posted this sooner, but I was only made aware of the link on March 26.)

Video Production Unit
We have been working, since the beginning of the month, on a video production unit that achieves curricular objectives in Language Arts and Practical and Applied Arts.
All students have created scripts with the theme of either an infomercial promoting the sale of an environmental product, or a public service announcement about a social justice issue. (This connects with themes we have explored in Science and Religion classes.)
Eight scripts have been chosen for production, and the groups are working quickly to edit scripts and create storyboards in anticipation of next week's arrival of the video equipment and MacBook Pros.
Once the filming and editing is complete, we will have a public viewing of the students' work. (This should be shortly after the Easter break.) Stay tuned!
